Lets start a game! Lets call it LT32 and base it on the LT28?

It seems like we won't get LT31 start any time soon (I would guess not this year). Even if we got it working the 2.3 rule set is not that friendly based on past our LT30 experiences.

I suggest we get a game going as the community is dying off. Looking on the old server the last "successful" games were LT29 and LT28.

The old forum doesn't say much about what happened to LT29, but LT28 seemed to have worked well according to Kryon ("Winners: Bli, Kryon, Det0r. I really enjoyed it. Thanks to all.")

So ... what are peoples thoughts on running a 2.2 server with the ruleset used in LT28, teamless with max 30 people?

I am willing to try and help start it up if somebody will help guide - although I am sure there are others who would be more competent.

I agree with mrsynical, let's roll back to an older ruleset (with rapture time at least 3 turns) and start a game, even if it's on FreeCiv 2.2.

I would also like to use this opportunity to point out that we shouldn't have banned terror. He would have fixed these bugs within a week and we would all be happily playing Civ right now.

I'm afraid that set of people having time to help and set of ppl being more competent are disjoint :)

It would be great.
Those who incited terror to do something really stupid aren't useful in this community (as much as me), while he did very good improvements for the benefit of all.

Yeah, that's a good plan. A game with 30 good players would be an interesting one.

I agree. Not without a "trial". After all it looked more like a demonstration, as hackers do for - sometimes - good causes.
