It's still very early game and you could start playing LT40 almost right away. Just send me a message or reply here and we will set up a nation for you.

Alex announced that he will quit playing on both LT39 and LT40. His nation on LT40 has been delegated to arkan. I'm not sure if arkan plans to play LT40 to the end or if he just wants to check the new ruleset for a while. In any case we have one more idler spot on LT40. It's now T3 and definitely not too late to join the game if someone is interested.

I didn't know it's possible to delegate to players that have not signed up for that particular game.

Delegation is possible to anyone with an account. On some games delegation is limited with rules but not here. Delegation is also easier than player replacements because player replacement needs manual work. Saving the game, editing the save file manually and then loading and starting the game. Can also be done and has been done but it's more easy this way.

However, when you are delegated, you can't delegate further in case you are away for the weekend.

Yeah, true. In this case the players can send me a message and I will do that for them. Probably best to make the actual player replacements at some time but we are just trying to avoid manual editing as long as possible. It's not the perfect system...
