Freeciv?
C-evo?
Civilization I?
Civilization II?
Civilization III?
Civilization IV?
Civilization V?
Civilization Revolution?
Anything else (please tell!)

My top 5:
Civilization IV
Civilization V (Didn't like lack of unit maintenance, but I feel the combat is better)
Freeciv
Civilization II (Nostalgia :)
Civilization Revolution

I didn't keep up with all the new versions, so my top list is mostly based on nostalgia. I guess I'm getting old.. :P

1. Freeciv
2. Civ 1
3. Civ 3
4. Civ 2

From what I heard about Civ 5 it seems they really added tons and tons of new rules and features. Isn't it making the gameplay too dense, or does it really improve it? To me Freeciv is already complicated enough. Over the years every time it seems we figured out the perfect playing strategy someone tries a radically different style and becomes unbeatable for a while (like Terror a while back).

1. Civ IV
2. Civ III
3. Freeciv
4. Civ II

I have never played Civ V or Civ I.
My first contact with Civilization was through Civ II. It was one of the strategy games in a CD that a friend of mine gave me. That CD had other games as "Theme Hospital", "Red Alert", "Sim City 2000", "Tycoon", "Castle", "Colonization", "Imperialism"...
I think, at that time, Civ III already existed, so I got it in a short time.

I have played Civ games as much as Europa Universalis II.
