When or how should the game end?

As this is a scenario game, we can even add some wonder ending the game.

I propose the big Bismarck statue :-D

Might do the trick :)

With what tech should that become available and what would be the cost?

Well, what techs are available? Are we using only the 19th century techs? If yes, science should be slowed down tenfold and end with, I don't know, electricity?

The advanced features are the cities and few start units. Apparently there are no advanced techs, as far as I know.

Sorry about that, but I had never configured the cities since it appeared to me too unbalanced between the states (some are huge with big cities, some are small with only big cities and some a small with only tiny cities. So before I created something ahistorical or completely unbalanced I left it simply balanced. This is an experiment so tried to have less variables as possible. Its therefore only half a scenario: the map, the nations and some infrastructure I artificially added...

If this works out well we try the big gun and go for the WWI scenario! I improved the map massively since it was played on greatturn.

Ok, I underestimated the number of Bismarck statues,
but as you know, there are a lot of bismarck towers.
I would go for the big Bismarck tower.

Regarding the scenario game, it's not what I expected.
3 cities and a few units isn't quite a scenario.

fran, for future games, what kind of scenario games you would like to see? How big map? How many cities and units? Tech level?

You can help us making it possible by telling what kind of games would be nice to play.

Yeah, I proposed many scenarios but almost nobody replied so we went with this one...

I'm just saying, if you want to convince folks that scenario is cool, you need to provide a full blown scenario.
It doesn't matter what.

He who asks deserves an answer :-)

I was particularly impressed how balanced and realistic the Napoleonic Empires scenario in triplea is.
http://www.triplea-game.org/maps/ scroll down to Napoleonic Empires.
Of course I don't know if and how the settings in these balanced scenarios could be guidelines for creating
freeciv scenarios, in fact, I know nothing about creating freeciv scenarios. At least you have the map
and relations of territory, units and production points.

What I personally dislike is WW stuff.

Tech tree should be well researched, at least one third, up to the half.

Chose your winner!

At first glance many nations dont look balanced but if you take geografy and alliances into account things look more balanced. Take a look at my WWI scenario! Maybe you will like. I made also a spin-off scenario about the Russian Revolution. In any case it could work as a could template.
