Augmented2 modpack is in stable beta version now, thus I would mention it here.
Tech tree is longer than original, begin in neolithic era and extend into current future, contain not only 'golden paths' but also additional 'side quests'.
Units belong to the distinctive classes with flawless upgrade tree.
Also new buildings, wonders, governments.

Modpack contain icons for new units/buildings etc, coming in two tileset versions for isometric hexes:
augmentedi (large and pretty, based on amplio) and augmenteis (small and ugly, based on isohex/trident)

I would appreciate some short-turn multiplayer session before thinking about longturn implementation or conversion to version 3.x.

This looks like fun. Thanks for sharing. Lots of hard work in this I can tell. I got an error using the modpack URL, but I was able to clone the git repo just fine.

Longturn version branch of augmented2 ruleset modpack is available at
https://github.com/Wahazar/augmented2/tree/longturn

Major changes are:
- movement points increased approximately x2 *)
- terrain alteration etc cost increased ~ x2
- vision radius increased for reconnaissance units, air and sea units
- Give Immediate Tech bonus only for Great Wonders (Great Library, Isaac Newton's College, Darwin's Voyage, Pasteur Institute, Internet, LHC)
and as bonus for Philosophy or Physics advance (also for one, first player).
- no free partisans generation

*) 2x for most units, with some exceptions for sake of game balance, for example defending infantry and early artillery/bombarders: 1mp, elephants and early horsemen 3mp instead of 4mp, etc.
