[quote=" "Leonardo's Workshop"]Upgrades two obsolete units per game turn. The upgraded units will lose one veteran level.

Requires knowledge of the technology Invention.

* The discovery of Combustion will make Leonardo's Workshop obsolete.
* A 'small wonder': at most one of your cities may possess this improvement.

I had some Warriors get upgraded to Musketeers, but was suprised to see that they did NOT lose any experience levels. Vet2 Warriors became Vet2 Muskets, and Vet1 Warriors did not turn into Green Muskets like I was afraid they would.

Is this a bug in the implementation?

Is this the intended function that didn't get documented in the Help files?

This is a feature that was not commented on the help files.

The question is how it should be for LT45.

Not sure if it is a good idea - degradation of veteran unit end its upgrade produce near zero net value. I would rather spend some money and upgrade units, which deserve to be upgraded, instead of risk than randomly chosen elite troop will lost its level.

Yeah, I don't like the notion of troops being randomly upgraded at a penalty.

I guess the question is whether ALL troops should lose XP in an upgrade, or should they always keep their hard-earned ranks?
