This isn’t about you. There area few people discussing this and most of others silent which isn’t good. I’m just trying to get things going.

If I understand correctly, they suggest that I be appointed captain. Thanks for the suggestion. But there is one problem. I do not speak English and therefore I communicate through Google Translante. This can create difficulties in communicating with other team members. If this is not a big problem for potential team members, in which I will be the captain, then I agree. But all the same, I propose to use me as a captain last. If there are no other variants.

If the decision about my captain will be accepted then I will be satisfied with the Red team. Especially since there is already kamBLR, and we speak the same language.

That sounds like a good idea for making communications easier. Put all Russian speakers in one team? Are there enough to form a team?

Ok, I think we have 5 captains now, so the next step is to start claiming names for your team!

I will copy this list to the Front Page and try to keep that updated with changes. This is just the state when this post was written.

Joy and Alfred have made each other their Regents, so that seems to indicate they'd like to be on the same team.

MOLIX and anaxagoras have done similarly.

It would certainly simplify things if we assign them together. Has anybody spoken to either of these players? Does any Captain wish to claim them?

Is forum messaging system working? I sent messages to two team leaders (send email at user profile) but didn't got any response.

PS. I would like to be in one team with shoter.

My guess is they just haven't paid attention to forum messages yet. Which teams were you hoping to join? I may end up assigning teams by fiat.

How did team selection work previously? I'd guess we need to lock the list of participants first before we pick players?

I'd say you can't have members assigned to teams before the picking starts. I consider Dim's case to he somewhat of an exception since language barrier precludes him from communicating, which is the essence of a team game.

Talking is overrated

I don't pay attention which team, maybe except red, I understand russian but have no cyrillic keyboard/fonts.
I understand, that players restrain to join teams waiting for other players to join, but in my opinion, for 5 teams, even if team assignment is not equal and fair in terms of players skills, it is not an such huge issue like in case of 2 teams. Personally. I would be frightened playing in strong team which can be considered as a threat for all other neighbouring teams

PS. blue and green are my favourite colours.

Could someone help us and list all the team captains here on one post? And also add if they agree to be captains but can be replaced by someone else if more players join and want to be captains.

Very good that you have managed to do this and also thanks for people volunteering to become captains. When the players are chosen it would be great if everyone could be online at the same time. If not, you can also send me a private list of preferred players and/or authorize me to choose for you. I will not be playing LT45 so there is no conflict of interest.

Also list here players that you think are new or need to perform additional confirmation about joining the game. I will be sending an email to all players who are new or who we think will need additional email confirmation. Those players can also reply on this thread and confirm participation.

Sorry about the extra work but we try to have as few idlers as possible.

I think Chill and Cgalik are the only two "old-timers". Don't you think it would unbalanced if they are on the same team?

If someone wants to take my place as captain, then I will gladly cede him.

It may be hard for all captains to be online at once. I think the best bet would for each captain to assemble a prioritized list of players, from most wanted to least wanted. Then game admin will go selecting available players in round robin fashion based of those lists. But we have to lock the list of players first.

As I mentioned earlier, lack of team balance is not a huge issue in case of multi-team game. It can be counteracted by team alliances.

Xander, would you be ok being moved to Red Team Captain, and Lord_P becomes Black Captain?

As for Chill and Cgalik being on the same team, I believe this can be "balanced around". Send them some noobs to white team for education.

Yeah, understood. Sorry chill, probably won't get on the same team this game. We'll see what works out. But yeah the other teams could just gang up on us from the start.

I'm up for all noobs with me.

I'm ok with not being a captain and being on red team, but then again I don't think this is the best way to form the teams.
