I've updated the Ranking scores with the LT30 results (it took me a long time because I switched my code to MATLAB and I didn't have much time until recently).
I'll send the Ranking list in proper html format to akfaew so that he can post it online.
There were 10 winners out of 82 players. Q was 82/10=8.2 and so P=12.5% meaning that each losing player lost 12.5% of their former scores and winners shared those equally among themselves. Each winner earned 981 points.
I've modified three names which was necessary since player names were re-created after website changed:
dude=>akfaew
duncan_shriek => duncan shriek
aczern => aczern.
Here is the new Ranking List:
(Only players who have played at least 2 games and at least 1 game in the last 10 LT games are displayed. LT30 was the 1st game of many players so they have to play a 2nd game to be displayed).

The previous Top-15 (before LT30) was like this:
Rank Player Score Won Lost Last Game
1 terror 3358 3 3 LT26
2 bli 3106 5 5 LT28
3 kryon 2851 3 3 LT28
4 det0r 2577 4 6 LT28
5 edrim 2428 6 8 LT27
6 mrsynical 2129 5 9 LT27
7 mmm 1867 2 2 LT29
8 oletraveler 1508 3 4 LT29
9 dude 1504 3 5 LT29
10 aczern. 1301 1 2 LT29
11 kevin551 1282 3 6 LT21
12 kg 1262 1 3 LT29
13 elrik 1239 4 14 LT29
14 maho 1114 3 14 LT29
15 pytoux 1087 3 7 LT29
There are big changes in the top.
- Terror lost his throne after a very long time. Bli is now wearing the crown.
- Kevin551, Elrik, Duncan Shriek entered the Top-10 replacing OleTraveler, Dude/Akfaew, Aczern.

I believe Pytoux == Zero.

How can we be sure of that? This is a tricky issue.
Even if a person admits changing names and wants to keep his old score, we can't be sure he is actually that person. Perhaps he wants the good score of another player (or ruin someone's score).
Also, a person who has a score less than 1000 can always open a new account to start fresh with a new 1000. This fact (old players might have lower score than newbies) is a disadvantage of the current ranking system.
So, unless we come up with a way to know who the original player was without a doubt, I hesitate to assign a new name to an older name. I can think of two solutions:
- The old players sends a forum message stating the name of his new player account.
- A better way would be to allow players to change their usernames without opening a new account.
Of course, these methods won't work for LT29-LT30 transition as all players lost their accounts and had to recreate new accounts. If during that transition, someone stole someone else's username, we can't do anything about it.

"For info regarding the ranking, my previous account was «Pytoux». Zero seemed appropriate to start anew."

How can we make sure Zero is Pytoux even if Zero claims he is? Pytoux himself should send a forum message.
And since all accounts had to be recreated after LT29, anyone could easily hack someone else's account (by creating the new account before the actual person).
So, the only solution is people to announce their new usernames on the old website forum. I've created a topic for that purpose:
http://old.longturn.org/forum/player-na … after-lt29
So, if you are using a new name and want to keep your old score, announce there and I'll link the two names for ranking purposes.

I know I haven't played in a long time but still, shouldn't my name be there somewhere?

I never reached that much scores even if I try hard. This game is not my cup of tea I think.

If you didn't play after LT20 or so (10 games ago) then your rank is suspended. But the moment you play another game your old rank is restored, we still have all your data.

Your stats are:
Score Won Lost Last-Game
595 1 6 LTXIII
As Marduk said, only players who played a game in the last 10 games (LT20 or later) are displayed.

These are not in-game scores. They are based only on the outcome of the games.

I see, thank you.
Maybe there should be some points for LTeX games... hehe

Actually I have an idea for this, though it depends on LTeX players whether it could work. Players could claim a "kill" in LTeX, and if it's confirmed then that player will take some points from the one he killed (more points if that player has a higher ranking score). But yea it depends if players would actually claim their kills, it's harder to maintain than the normal LT ranking list.

Not a bad idea. Maybe we could modify the server to report the kill or better yet have an independent process that would monitor the logs and report that somehow. Talking about LTeX,
I think these games are too long, There should be a consensus about the length of these experimental games. For me, 90 turns seems about right. I live in the wilderness again, so my replies may suffer some lag time...
