Team game rules amendment

Post by Corbeau »

I am not playing the current team game, but there has been a recurring problem and finally it needs to be solved. So let's make it official.

I propose the following amendment to the rules:

A team game is, obviously, a game of teams and players may play it for two reasons: to win - that is, to defeat the opposing team(s) - and/or to play alongside more experienced players and learn the game. Team games are NOT "free for all" environments where one can do as he pleases; players are EXPECTED to work with their team (because TEAM game, ok?) Not working with others, refusing or avoiding communication and/or not taking part in decisions is considered slacking or sabotaging the game. You are allowed to make bad decisions, you are allowed to be inexperienced, like it has been said, one of the purposes of team games are learning, and good players can also make mistakes, but deliberate complete ignoring of any communication attempts and consistent failure to contribute ANYTHING to the team will result in your removal from the game, at the request of the team.

Yeah. We have some rules for dealing with stuff like that but obviously that doesn't cover everything or it doesn't allow all actions that might make sense.

The rules can be changed for future games. So... Everyone, please review the rules and let us know what issues there are and what is not covered. You don't need to know how to fix the problem. It's great if you do but the most important part is knowing about the issue.
