Private hosted LT games

Hi

I'm new to Longturn and I would like to know whether it's possible to host a longturn game myself. The goal would be to have a game with a group of 10-20 friends. Is this possible and are there instructions to do so somewhere?

If I'm not mistaking, setting up a LT game is identical to setting up a standard FreeCiv game, only with different ruleset (that you upload... somehow). The most troublesome part is actually having a server that would be operational 24/7. If you have that, you're 99% done.

Hi, thanks for answering.

Does the gave save to disk? In order to be resilient against reboots or crashes? Do I need to add special configuration for that?

I think it saves every turn automatically, or at least there is a starting option that enables it.
