Care to explain?
Offline
I would like Gugi16 to explain why he delegates to Rango as well, even though he's not away.
Offline
I would like Iza to explain as well, why he registered to the game inbetween the abovementioned players, and logs in from a similar geographical location.
Offline
I will block any of the abovementioned accouns in 24 hours if no explanation is given.
Offline
I personally know Iza and Rango, they are friends and I think they even live nearby. I don't know about others, but I know they did inform some more friends of this.
Keep in mind, a month ago I was replacing two friends in Greatturn at the same time for a week or two (and Iza was actually one of them). If someone cared to look, the log would probably look something like this. Although, I did announce it on the forum.
As for "delegating while not away", maybe it's just insurance. It's holidays season, y'know people tend to be AFK. And why is it a problem, exactly?
Anyway, I'll send an email to them. It's very likely they are not checking this forum.
Offline
So, to conclude, please unblock them because I know for sure that there are five separate real people in play (I just checked the mail; actually, I was the initiator for drawing them all here). Four of them I know personally and I know that they are in this for the game. But, again, take into consideration that this was the worst possible date to start because it's at the peak of the holiday season and people tend to go away.

Hello!
We are living in the same city, that's about the similar geographic location. I know Rango (and Corbeau, as he said) and we are become acquainted just because we are sharing the same interest for games. That's how I found out for Greatturn, and now when it's gone I started here on the Longturn.
In time you'll notice my connections from two providers: one is home and the other from my job... and please don't tell my boss.
Why I registered in between the stated times - that's a coincidence.
Greetings from Croatia!

Hi, I see that the problems showed up what I did not expect.
For the start, I'm sorry about the situation, but I don't knew that I must announce it on the forum.
I am for the first time this year played FreeCiv on GreatTurn, and I loved it. After their server shuts down, Corbeau called me and Iza to register on LongTurn. After that I called my son (N3kros), nephews (Runner) and friend (Gugi16) to also register at LongTurn because they liked what I was talking about playing Civilization with a large number of players.
Because they not played FreeCiv before, and it's been plenty of time since they played Civilization (Runner is not played Civilization at all), we agreed that I would advise them in the first few moves.
My son and I, of course, live in the same apartment, and my nephew is often with us, so we were all connected the over the same IP. That explains a screenshot that set akfaew.
Now I need to know what happens in the future, because N3kros and I will be often connect with the same IP address, and also the Runner when he is here (not always, but often)?
Regarding Gugi16, he delegated me because it is offered to him in the registration process, and did not think he was doing anything wrong.
About Iza, he is a friend but I do not see any problem there, except that he is from Croatia as Corbeau.

As i wrote in previous post, there is no big deal to login from one location or one computer, we have some plyers who know each other personaly and live or work in same place.
There is a problem when one player loging in to another players account.
There is some logs above and all 3 natios are usually logging in in packs, one after another, that why we are trying to get what is going on.
Once you said it is your son and nephew it is ok. Have fun in playing, but take it in mind you are doubtfull player in future ally with other players because of playing in one place:)

I understand and I must say that there is no password sharing. Everyone has their own password and keep it for yourself. As I said, N3kros and I will almost always connect to the same IP address, and occasionaly also Runner. Gugi16 not even until now, connecting with my IP address, but occasionally we find ourselves in the same place (coffee shop), and then it is possible to be connected at the same time.
Offline
Rango, I suppose that's ok, and I hope others feel the same. I assume you will always play together though, which is not desirable. Would have been nice if you made us aware of this situation earlier.
Gugi16 must cancel the delegation if he is not away, as it's a violation of the rules. I won't spend my time checking if every player has read the rules. This is a ranking game, therefore we take it seriously. Being new is no excuse.
No problem akfaew, today I will tell Gugi16 to cancel the delegation, and if he should be re-create it.
Of course I'd advise them in the further playing, and it is possible that one day we'll be together in an alliance. But I do not know how I otherwise could solve this situation. It was meant that we to play it just for the first few moves, while the game is at the start.
Also, surely all you know that it is possible for someone to play for someone else and that it can not be seen. Anyone who can connect with multiple IP addresses, can have as many registrations, and play as many nations...

I made an effort to explain the situation, and now you all know what it is.
I think when more players connected via the same IP address, can never know with certainty is that always the same player. Of course, if the connection is in a very short time, it may be suspicious, but anyone who wants to cheat would certainly knew it and would not have done it...

Yeah, I must say that I wondered about all those players coming from the same address. It's great have an explanation and this is not the first time there has been more than one player from one ip. Maybe not this many players but anyway.
Maybe it would be worth it to have some better guidelines for delegation. I have thought that it would be ok to delegate for one full turn meaning that the owner of the nation would not connect to the game during that one turn.

I knew they did not use the forum. Also, there was a 24 hour deadline mentioned so I wanted to be quick. Sorry, gov'ner, did mean to impose.
Regarding delegation, I dlegated Nimrod two days ago although I'm still here. I'm going tomorrow. I did it earlier because there is always the chance of forgetting it if I leave it for the last moment.
Also, someone mentioned that this is the ranking game. I couldn't care less about ranking. I'm here for the game. So feel free to sign me off if that will make anyone feel more comfortable.

With our rules you shouldnt login while you are in delegation/vacation. We think there is clear that only one player in a time can login into a nation, thats prevent tricky TC abuse and all this stuf, check it - you delegate to someone in other size of world, so he may check your nation in your nighttime and you are checking in your daylight. We treat this game quite seriously. I am not talking you did something that need to be punish, but you must belive that if we are going to pass situations like this every next situation is more complicated and brings mass mess shortly.
I'm here for the game. So feel free to sign me off if that will make anyone feel more comfortable.
You must understand that in couple of years history every rule here is from something bad was happening in the past. We have a hell with passwordsharing when one player control 15 nations in the end of a game, because everybody quit and he gets theirs passwords, it is not friendly here, so we are quite agressive to password sharing.

That's why there is a thread for announcing delegations. Me and edrim have rights to set delegation manually. I'm online most of the day during week days. If you forget your regent can always intervene.

Some people don't care, that's unfortunate but fine. But we'll be putting in a lot of effort into this game in the next couple of months. It would be nice if you just respected our rules instead of trying to question them. You did agree to them when the game started after all. So let's just play the game, T5 is way too soon to be starting forum wars.
