using a browser

I might be away from my computer for a while but I should have access to a browser. Is it possible to join LT31 without the usual client? I have read somewhere that it can be done but I’ve never tried. If it isn’t, I shall have to delegate my civ or abandon the game.

Re: using a browser

There was a project to develop a web client (I don't think it was meant to be compatible with freeciv servers though) but as far as I know it got abandoned.

Delegations don't work at the moment, I'll fix that after TC today or tomorrow morning. It will require a server restart so diplomatic dialogues might disappear.

Thanks. Perhaps that's what I saw. When I say delegate I mean the regent thing which I’ve never used. Does that work?

It should now, let me know if it doesn't.

Re: using a browser

If you setup a vnc server which you can reach from outside your home, you can use the vnc web client to control your computer from a browser and play the game that way...

I currently use VNC from my server and a vnc client on my phone to play the game when I can't get to my computer.
