Hopefully the last time LT39 has been postponed

Post by wieder »

The new start date is now Nov 21st. LT38 should be over by that time and the players could start looking for a new game. LT40 should start the next day.

We will prepare an e-mail to be sent to LT members. Hopefully that will make enough people to be interested about the new game.

Just as a reminder, even while it has been said lots of times.

- LT39 is the more traditional LT game with more traditional ruleset and with allied victory. expect war when playing this game. while space race is enabled you may expect the game to end with a conquest victory where everyone but the winners have been wiped out

- LT40 is going to be more experimental one (while not really an experimental game) and while there will be wars the game is probably going to focus on building stuff and reaching for the stars. the empire sizes have size limits and allied victory is not available

You can now choose what kind of game you want to play if your choice is longturn.org in the first place :)

Just checking, why is it postponed? Because, the early stages of a game are most boring and you want to do something else while waiting for it to grow. Namely, play the previous game that is in its late stages.

Mostly because there are not that many players and LT38 has not yet ended. If the other team in LT38 will not give up, the war on LT38 could last for month or two :)

Yeah, the "not too many players" argument is good.
